As a pilot, healthy eyes 👁 keep you airborne so protecting them should be one of your top priorities. Let's look at two sunglasses to see how they stack up!

Ultraviolet light (UV) will damage every part of the eye and can lead to early aging and failure. Cataracts, corneal injuries, and other degeneration are caused by UV exposure over time which can lead to impaired or diminished vision.

Flying aircraft at any altitude during the day can cause increased UV exposure, let alone flying at altitudes closer to the sun like pilots in jet, sail planes (gliders), or other high performance aircraft endure.

Today, we test two sunglasses (affiliate links below, thanks for supporting the channel!) — Revo's Horizon Titanium/Photochromatic Sunglasses and Flying Eyes' Golden Eagle plastic frame glasses. Not quite apples to apples, but both on the pricer side of eyewear.

Let us know what you think, and post any glasses you love as a pilot!

And, if you want our favorite flight headsets, then support our channel and grab a pair of BOSE A20s or ProFlight Series 2 below.

You get what you pay for. My Eagle Eyes are not yet 2 years old and the plating is flaking off. I have Ray Ban and many others over 10 years old and never had that happen. The warranty by the way is only a year. Definitely not to be confused with brands who stand behind their products like Costa and Maui Jim.
More revenge of the Chinese on America I think.
