How To Turn Off Instagram Calls

Why just don’t add the button disable calls? Facebook wtf ?

But keep in mind this only didables the NOTIFICATIONS- not the calls themselves..people can still request to video chat you just don't get a notification. Like others, i want an option to opt out completely of video chat.

Thank you for the info! I was watching another video on YouTube and somehow called a group of my friends on Instagram accidentally. No idea how I did it, even if I tried. I just don’t want to accidentally call multiple people late at night. Disabled all literally everything thanks to your video.

I don't see the option to mute calls. Only mute stories or posts. I keep calling someone by accident & I want to disable myself from that happening. Can you help me with that

If IG would just do a better job of two step verification to start a chat rather than being so prominent that a squirrel could literally touch your screen with its nose to open chat, we wouldn't need to block it.

I use Instagram chat on both my phone and tablet all the time. But today, on every chat i was on, i accidentally launched audio calls. Have no idea how, or why now and not before. I'll go ahead and turn camera and mic off, but it should really be an option like Facebook has.

Yes it worked for me. Just wanted that the ringing wouldn't show, only the "contacting".
