I thought at first that the spider was spinning a silk line down so that it could pull itself back up

Somehow this describes my life the last few weeks. Not rotting, but also not getting out.

Nature is both beauty and a beast. A beautiful plant and a gorgeous lady spider. Life keeps on going.

It's also super smart how they are slippery. They have different wax layers on the rim. The top one is kinda like coarse snow flakes. If you step on one, it will detach, sending you down with it. And once you slide, it's like trying to run up an avalanche or falling rocks. As soon as you touch something, it slides

I've had a Nepenthes, and man, it grew fast. It ended op being almost 2 x 6 feet long and needed quite much every day for the cups not to dry out.
In the summertime there was a sweet smell in the room from the fluid in the cups. But I never had insect problems.

I used to see those plants all the time in cedar swamps in Michigan’s upper peninsula. Cool plant. My grandfather called them Indian drinking cups be said the would cut them dry them and then use them to drink out of when he was a little boy around 1900

Nature is just as breathtaking if not more so than the vast universe itself. While the cosmos dazzles us with its galaxies, black holes, and the infinite expanse of stars, nature grounds us in an equally astonishing world of intricate ecosystems, stunning landscapes, and the dance of life in every form. From the symbiotic relationships between the tiniest organisms to the monumental force of a hurricane, nature is a masterpiece of complexity and beauty, reminding us that the wonders of our own planet can be as awe-inspiring as the distant galaxies above.

I wonder if that liquid could be used as a home remedy. Anti bacteria and fungi properties are very useful in first aid.
