Scientific Notation to Standard Notation
Is the exponent positive or negative?
- Positive exponent = move the decimal point to the right
- Negative exponent = move the decimal point to the left
- Zero exponent = retain the decimal point
The number in the exponent dictates how many places should you move the decimal point.
