I liked that at first Jonathan was after Nezuko mistaking her as a servant of Dio, but when Tanjiro told him that she's his sister just before dying, Jonathan swore to protect her in his place to make amends to him. It shows how honorable Jonathan truly is.

This has to be the most saddest death battle I have ever seen and I really hope if Jonathan Joestar ever comes back, he still is seen with nezuko protecting her like he promised.

Only Jonathan can keep complimenting his opponent’s skills mid-fight, win with a sword lodged in his chest, and then apologize, give him a painless death, and vow to protect his demon sister with his life. I’m happy with how DB portrayed him. Spot on. True gentleman.

At first I was surprised at this matchup and why these two would be pitted against each other.
Then I realized that they both have powers supported by breathing of all things, and they both have hearts of gold.

The one thing I hated was how Jonathan always said he was a gentleman in this battle. Anyone who's seen jojo would know Jonathan would let his actions speak for him, not his words

I swear this is the first Death Battle where the victor genuinely felt guilty over murdering their opponent. Very in-character for Jonathan due to how much of a gentleman he is.
