I wouldn't even dare say the old games were "so challenging", it's mostly a skill issue

But that X and Y are too easy I cannot deny, they're a walk in the park compared to even Sword and Shield, which is completely embarassing to say

I think another reason why modern pokémon games tend to be easier is that your options have gotten so good due to power creep. In the past, it would take a Charmander long after reaching its final stage to get a better fire move than Ember. But now, not only does Fuecoco get a better move before evolving, but it also gets a move that is perfectly accurate and always raises Sp.atk and helps the kids with homework.

This game only gets easier after both of your starters have fully evolved

Cuz for some reason all the npcs in this game have Insane plot armour
And an average dedenne could one shot your team if your not careful

For me it was so easy I went into the elite four with three different fire types and still handled it without many problems.

X/Y r so easy but OR/AS is an absolute skill curve (this might be a bit biased cause OR/AS was the first time i played pkmn)

Not gonna lie, I probably would not use the gift Pokemon because I want to actually build a team from the ground up by myself.

I once played through Pokémon X, but I could only catch Pokémon with the one master ball, and I could only revive two fossils. Plus, only one fossil Pokémon could go into a gym at a time. This only gave me 7 Pokémon to use, but the team I built was a good one.

I don't understand why people over hype Cynthia in the original DPP I beat her no issues but in shining pearl she was a lot harder I barely beat I had to spam items just to win

Kind like that but really it's too easy cause of this exp share...that why it's too easy ....I remember in the old game pokemon have only 1 or 2 exp share even the older game of Pokemon don't have exp share that was fun and harder to switch out pokemon every time level up or so
