I've always used the improved clinch knot. It is a little unconventional, but it works.

I’ve always wondered how important this knot is (on the spool), surely it’s just a case of making sure the line is on the spool and once you’ve reeled on 100m+ of line that knot is never getting bothered? Am I missing something? Genuine wondering of an overthinker, love all of your videos!!
