Solving a inequality with a square root

👉 Learn how to solve multi-step linear inequalities having no parenthesis. An inequality is a statement in which one value is not equal to the other value. An inequality is linear when the highest exponent in its variable(s) is 1. (i.e. there is no exponent in its variable(s)). A multi-step linear inequality is an inequality in which multiple steps of operations are to be performed to obtain the solution(s).

To solve a linear inequality with no parenthesis, we first use inverse operations (addition/subtraction) to combine like terms and then, we also use inverse operations (multiplication/division) to isolate the variable. (recall that multiplication/division with a negative number changes the orientation of the inequality sign).

Sir i think by doing square on both sides of inequality the inequality wants us to have the value greater than other side of equality and also the values lower than negative sign of that value and then it depends on the function if he/she is wanting to take it domain we say . Because of x inside the square root it can take value less than -4 as it will make negative inside a square root and making an imaginary no and have not defined inequality(we are not able to compare) for complex numbers and also the domain of square root function does allow value making it negative in both equality and inequalities .

you start off each video by saying you already did this. well most likely students doing problems are exposed to whatever you did off screen, so students are looking for problems that you never show. In other words show the preface, thats where students start.
