After getting a redmagic nova, i have caught a bug for emulation again. Im hoping redmagic starts making 8.5-9inch tablets so legion can get some competition. The small tablet space needs more competitors. Im waiting on a few more videos from creators before i make a decision on this, though.

Great video! I went for the 2023 version with the SD slot. Bit of a shame the 2023 doesn't support AV1 decoding though!

I ended up getting the 2025 model, and i spent a little bit and got a 2230 NVME 1TB and an enclosure for that extra space to take advantage of that extra type c slot on the tablet. the enclosure is pretty small that i dont even notice it on my back. especially whenever i attach my controller on it. now 1 more tb of space for cheaper plus faster than micro SD, plus a faster tablet

Aw yay. I impulse bought a second hand 2023 a few days ago and I'm waiting patiently for it to get to me hopefully next week. I've been a bit gunshy of watching these shootout videos between the two cuz the 2025 clearly has some definite processing power advantages which I'm sure will only improve the gap between them with time.

But this video reminded me of the research I did months ago that had left me with the impression that the '23 was still at an advantage on a few fronts. I'm glad I watched this and continue to feel good and excited about getting my new tablet. I'm upgrading from a 12 year old Nexus 7 so this is gonna be sooo sweet. That SD card slot is such a big deal for me, I'm not a hardcore gamer, I want versatility and something I can use for all sorts of things. The storage expansion really is the killer feature decider between the two for me.

Plus I've seen some discussion about some of the image post-processing effects baked into the 2025's ROM that make me feel like it's upgrading and pushing the bleeding edge tech envelope just for the sake of it, not because there's anything lacking in the previous gen's abilities. Can't argue with the video decoder speed difference though. I get the value proposition there. Just, not an issue for me.

The next update of this tablet with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 8000mah silicon carbon battery(hopefully) will be worth it

Actually the biggest thing is is that the 2025 version is available in the states with updates whereas the 2023a edition has no international updates or limited thereof

For 2023 model you can make custo heatsink in the back with thermal pae and copper this will make sure the sustained performance runs great without throttling

I believe the only reason this tablet line up is not well-known is because Lenovo hasnt developed a proper global rom. The UI experience is not so friendly for Eng user and look bad imo.

I have the 2023 China variant. The onky issues are no fingerprint reader and I haven't been able to backup to Lenovo or Google.

For 2023, you can also dimming the screen with a tap. It's an android feature.
