Vintage Kyosho Outrage MKII Restoration - PART 1

G'day! In this video I begin the restoration of a vintage Kyosho Outrage MKII. This was meant to be one video as I thought I had all the parts. I turned out I didn't have the body and wing I needed, plus the right tyres. I finish the chassis and electrics in this video and once I get the body, wing and tyres I can finish the restoration. Of course that will be in part 2 when it comes. I can't say when part 2 will come as it all depends on when I can get the required parts. Till then I have a bunch of other resto's and new builds to tackle, so stay tuned!

Thanks for watching!

I am pretty sure the chassis is the correct one. I have to admit at first I also was'nt the biggest fan of the mk1 colors but the longer I had mine the more they grew on me.

Great Video! I revived an old Outrage but shock towers feel flimsy (front). Which upgraded shock (from another model etc.) towers if any do you think would fit (front at least)?

Mick, what kind of bearings were those you used for the spur gear? I'm restoring one of these myself at the moment can't find any information on this buggy online. The spur gear at the moment has a metal tube bushing and 2 washers in it, but the bushing only goes in one end of the gear. Appreciate if you can tell me how you did yours, looked like some kind of flange bearing?

Hey Mick, I have 3 of these and am looking for bearing kits. Does the Outrage ST use the same bearings as the buggy?
Cheers mate
