January 26, 2022, SDCMS Webinar 'How to Avoid Being Reported to the Medical Board'

Physicians must be knowledgeable regarding how to avoid being reported to the Medical Board. They must also understand the Medical Board's role and responsibilities for physician oversight; including, reviewing and investigating complaints, issuing sanctions, and imposing disciplinary action when a physician violates licensure and statutory regulations. This webinar will discuss the types of complaints and issues that most frequently prompt the Medical Board to send a letter of inquiry or investigation to a physician, and the appropriate process to follow when responding including Section 805.8 mandatory reporting requirements.
