Always remember: Colonel Sanders didn't start KFC until he was 65 years old. Until that point, he worked a bunch of odd jobs and ended up working at his wife's gas station and started selling fried chicken when he had his big idea. If he could do THAT at 65, I can be an expat business man at 40.

It's so strange how we apply this to most of our daily lives, but when it comes to moving to a different country it's all of a sudden very controversial.

Wish my father (or anyone) had told me the same things when I was a kid!

It's never too late... until it is. Remember 2020 when planes stopped flying or borders started closing.

I'm going to mention one thing if you're like me who has always had an urge to explore; But haven't made much progress yet... STUFF.
In the USA the accumulation of things (I.e. consumerism) will naturally hold you back. Especially if you acquire quality things over the years. With my incredible collection of record albums, my top notch hifi audio equipment, my collection of top of the line vintage musical instruments and amplifiers, my library of great books, my numerous junky old automobiles, lol, with all this stuff it makes it very hard to pick up and leave it all behind. I'm rather settled in and the fine things I've surrounded myself with offer a continual source of pleasure. I also have the fear that if I were to sell off all my stuff I'd never have the opportunity to re-acquire some of which are things I had originally purchased before they became collectible. And yet I am really feeling the urge to pick up and go!

Go where you are treated best is truly inspiring. Again it is true that we can't stick to the area we are living in if we need success and create our story. Thank you for the video.

I don't understand people who can only see in this motto an attempt to escape taxes..."Go where you are treated best" is first the right that is given to all of us to regain our true freedom. Most people are prisonner of an identity. The fact you were born and have been educated in a country doesn't mean you belong to it.
Getting out of my living space and experiencing new countries and opportunities have become part of my personnal development!
Thanks Andrew!

The countries I care most about being in are Slovenia, Japan and Scotland. Then Spain, South Africa, Bulgaria, Thailand and New Zealand.

This is the reality coming for Canada under Trudeau's post nation state dream. The former Canada could only complete based on the idea of Canada, Canadian values and an organic but welcoming culture that united Canadians new and old. Trudeau is about dividing Canadians and his spending has create massive debt with no ROI. I will leave Canada as I will not be left holding the empty bag that Justin Trudeau has created. Apologies for the rant, it is part of the letting go. Go where you are treated best. Perfect.

My parents let me blow off my high school graduation by taking me and my little brother to England. That was my first taste abroad. The following year they took us back to 6 countries in Western Europe France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and back to England. That was the best gift they could have given me, the gift of traveling abroad (independent of a tour or group). I caught the travel bug -so this is their fault 😆 lol. I’ve always said “I wasn’t the girl who had a closet full of clothes and shoes, I was the girl who filled my passport with stamps”. GWYTB. Thank you Andrew for all your hard work and continued education.

Great video. If it weren't for the Covid delay, pushing the Dept.of State-issued apostilles to 8-10 weeks, I'd be on a flight next week to kick off my perm. residency abroad. Sadly, I have to wait. You've been a huge inspiration. Thanks for lighting a fire under my arse to get my own story started.
