This happened in Russia (USSR) and as a Russian myself I can tell you that doing the most stupid sh*t and completely underestimating the danger behind it is a pretty common behaviour unfortunately. You may have heard of another accident where a pilot let his son rule in the cockpit, that's downright insane! The plane crashed into the hill, all people dead.
And every time I want to ask who the hell gave you the permission to play with people's lives like that? If you really want to do some deranged sh*t, do it alone, so you can only hurt yourself. But doing it when you have 84 people behind your back is beyond me.
P.s. Six years of sentence sounds like an insult here, but at least I hope karma is real...
