I'm halfway through this series and couldn't help make a tribute to the amazing Fan Xian. I'm sure once I'm done with the series I may make another, but for now let's focus on his hilarious side. I laugh so much during this show. Zhang Ruo Yun does an incredible job portraying Fan Xian.

The fact that you started with the arrow scene. 😍 Fan Xian is the most balanced, likable main lead in any drama I have watched. He reminds me so much of my favorite book character Eugenides from Megan Whalen Turner's Queen's Thief series---a bit of a trickster, extremely cunning and witty with a respect for life but also ruthless when needed. ZRY played him to perfection. I will come here when I have Fan Xian withdrawal. Season 2 is almost here!
