So if the story is too complicated this time, it's basically about a stalker who had convinced himself that Vonnie, (ginger hoe) was his lover and they were in a relationship. But in reality, blondie is crazy and Vonnie is already in a relationship with someone else.

I like how the couple holding hands blocks the stalker’s face, like he’s blinded by his own ‘love’ so much he doesn’t realize what’s actually happening.

This character really makes me sad. I know he’s a stalker, I know he’s a bad person but I understand the want to be with somebody even if you can’t or they don’t care about you. And just because he’s a stalker, doesn’t necessarily mean deep down he doesn’t have real human emotions. The faces he makes throughout this animation and the imagery really shows the panic of never getting to see the person he loves again. It’s crazy how a 44 second animation can really make me think about things on a deeper level than even a whole movie could-

OOF, I can defiantly understand why some people feel for him, I do too. Now before somebody comes after me for feeling sympathy for a "psychopath" let me explain. Stalkers don't deserve to be romanticized or justified, what they do is illegal, wrong, and harmful. BUT you have to remember they're still people, and they're most likely suffering from mental illness. Mental illness doesn't excuse behavior in anyway shape or form but it is reasonable for you to wish someone would get help so they don't hurt anymore people physically and/or emotionally rather than stooping lower than them by wishing death or torture upon them. Most (not all) stalkers suffer from trauma or illness that influences them to act the way they do.

I like how he is still smiling instead of crying when he sees that the person he thinks is his boyfriend holding someone else's hand. It makes the people watching the animation loose their sympathy for him, especially when we see the paper show that he's a stalker. Thank you so much for making such original content.

It's been 2 years since I last saw this video, but it still hurts me like the first time I saw it. I feel like I'm the dude, I feel his pain (like physically, my heart really hurts, I'm not kidding).
I don't understand why tho. I'm a girl, straight, never had any relashionship or romantic experience of my life with anyone, not a stalker, and I've never really fell in love, we seems to have nothing in common BUT I SOMEHOW RELATE TO HIM THAT'S WEIRD
Maybe it's the fear of abandonment? Being casted away? I don't know, but you really did a fantastic job on representing the distress and pain of the character.

When someone stalks someone else, they usually want/need that person’s attention and stuff.

But they also have mental issues. This doesn’t excuse stalking, it just makes me feel bad because all he wanted was to love Vonnie. But he took it to extreme extents and that ended him up in an insane asylum.
Now he can never see Vonnie again, and he’s trapped and feels useless and unwanted and unworthy.

That grin at the end is what makes me want to cry. Everyone says it’s a grin of insanity.
To me it’s a grin of “Ive lost everything” and his whole world fell into shards. Him seeing Vonnie with someone else made him shatter so badly that all he could do is smile and hold everything back.


That’s my take on this video, I’m not romanticizing stalking, it’s a terrible thing, I just feel kinda bad for the blonde..

Don't feel bad for stalkers to the point of thinking they did nothing wrong.
Often stalkers are classified in court as having bouts of insanity, which means not differentiating between reality and fantasy.
Stalkers often perceive their approach is wanted, or that they are just in a relationship with the person.
They don't normally love the person, they mostly don't know them. They just become obsessed with the idea that they belong with/near/around the person.

As someone who has stalked before, (I received the help i needed, I'm fine now and there are no fits of stalking).

Don't feel sorry for stalkers. Period. There can be sympathy like their is for anyone who isn't purposely meaning to do something wrong, but never romantize or believe they don't do anything wrong.

This is literally a Black Mirror episode in less than a minute, and i love it. At first we're thinking "aw, that poor guy has a loved one that doesn't love him back" which is relatable to us, because we know how it feels to have an unrequited love. We sympathise with this dude for the majority of the video. We even feel a bit of hate for the orange haired dude when he doesn't show him any reaction. Then, at those last few frames, we realise. We sympathised with a stalker. If any of you have seen Black Mirror, especially Shut Up and Dance, you can definitely see that use of creating a story that seems relatable for the most part, but then reveals its full context only at the very end, creating a whole new perspective of what we saw before. This animation "meme" separates from the rest, because it actually flips on its head with such clarity without being cliche. Stories that have subtle plot twists at the end that changes how we perceive things are truly the most genius.

This really was something else to me.
I love this animation, and the song in general, but the animation-holy shit.
It's completely insane, I love it.
The way, in the beginning, how Vonnie and him are being torn apart-Vonnie seemed to be reaching out to him, and he was being taken down, like in movies when you need to get back at someone or have leverage, so you take what they protect and love. He probably had made a move on Vonnie or something, I can't imagine what, but it looks like, in his twisted version, Vonnie's actual/current lover is pulling him away while it seems, probably, the Asylum workers are pushing him down. He, as shown, has such a backwards idea of how his obsession with the boy went.
When the doctors-who were probably giving his sedatives so he didn't hurt himself(he was aggressively banging on the glass in the first scene, punched/lashed out at one of the doctors-they both looked like robotic versions of Vonnie. Like he believed he was a sort of victim, that Vonnie was denying him, so in some way he knew how things were in a nearly real sense. We see the scenes of Vonnie walking away from him, and around him, before tempting him-teasing, on a leash, controlling him.
Then we see him hug him-like blondie was in some sort of abusive relationship of one-sided love, but there, in reality, was no love at all, no relationship. Yet he still loved and obsessed over Vonnie, and blah blah.


but the smile at the end? Twisted as shit, and the way he stays standing at the glass, like the other person wasn't even there, scared me half to death.

Okay so him just looking at the couple and smiling gives me nightmares. I’m not someone that gets shaken easily. I gobble down ghost stories. But that face was just eerie. I feel like he is going to get out, and I am praying for this animated couple. You nailed this. I can’t even call this a meme.
