The Heat were interested in Beal a couple of years ago when he already started declining in Washington. They could get him for cheap now while also trading their, let's be honest, old as f*ck star player that probably still expects a pretty large contract extension. Things could get ugly with the vibes there.

Also Beal is already signed so it's not like you're signing him yourself (media critique wise) and it helps you stay kinda relevant. I also don't expect Pat Riley to go full tank mode in his last years.

Bradley's gets paid 53 & 57 mil next 2 seasons. Butler gets paid 52 mil next season. It's like extending your star player for another year, nothing too drastic, while also making him a bit better at creating offense, 4 years younger, and probably a bit easier going in the locker room.

As he has declined his tough mentality style leadership has been worth sh*t for Miami. And lord knows this Suns team could use a bit more grit so as to not apathically keep falling short against a** teams.

I just hope the Suns realize this as well and not trade that 2031 pick.

Math works

I wrote a program to give me every mathematical possible trade (10396 Possible Beal/Butler Trades) that could possibly be made. Working on narrowing it down to probable trades. Given the heat agreed with IND and Bryant, they could amend the trade with Beal and Butler to still make the math work.

After writing the program and going through the data, I am more and more leaning towards that Beal in MIA will not work. If MIA didn't extend Butler, why would they take on the pseudo extension of Beal with his contract and with all the negatives with it? the NTC, plus Beals no fit in MIA.
