Sheppard had a bus 363 which was a 3800 and it was a tank as well it drove better then all the new stuff. I loved it.

I like the 2007 IC CE I have been driving. Rides and drives good and is comfortable.

If I’d own a bus, I’d own a 2002 International (IC) CE200 with a 7.3 T444E or a 2009 IC RE300 Maxxforce DT.

I would buy a Thomas FS-65 with a Mercedes diesel. I still wouldn't mind a Thomas International with the 7.3 diesel in it. Since I was a kid I never cared for the C2's.

Is there a reason school buses are shaped like that, ie front engine, normal control bonneted design, or is it just tradition?
Also who finances school transport in the US; is it the local authority?
Here in the UK, dedicated school buses just aren't a thing as local Councils just contract it out to private coach operators or local bus companies who have to tender for the routes. No private operator is going to buy dedicated school spec buses if they're not earning their keep all day long and weekends.
