I tried doing third-party nunchucks for the Wii, 3 of them, and they all lasted me a week. I still have the official Wii remotes and nunchucks and they still work. Also, so far, my joy-cons are still working and I had my switch for over a year.

I kid you not:

I’ve had my joy-con’s for 5+ years (I have the original 1st generation switch) and they haven’t drifted yet, but they do “lag” in a way where if I play disconnected from the switch, they will do input controls later than when I do them, so instead of doing what’s perceived as instantaneous, they do it about 1 second slower, which when your gaming, is an eternity. But I got a wired Kirby pro controller so it’s better but still stinks.

I did order new ones but I’m glad they have served me well and held up for the past 5 years!

I've only ever had issues with third party joycons. I recommend you buy a joycon stick replacement kit. It's like $15 and comes with multiple replacement joysticks. You just need to be confident with your ability to fix things.

I've had the switch for about 4 years now and seems to be running pretty fine. 👍🏼

These 3rd party joy cons look like a nightmare to hold sideways or for super Mario party

I've had my Switch for about 3 years. Only had one Joy-Con drift, and I got a new one for $40 for amazon. Haven't had any issues since
