Im currently homeless in San Diego, Ca with my daughter. I work in a warehouse by myself at night. When this song comes on my playlist I sing it at the top of my lungs, literal off key catterwauling cuz i cant carry a tune lol this is my favorite song in this season of my life and I praise God for your gift and His message in your words.

My "brother" since I was 5 years old has ALS, was supposed to be dead years ago. I am listening to this for the first time, at work amongst all these people, trying to pull my shit together. Our relationship, Bill and I, is a bond that can't be broken, but it's such a strained one because ALS has changed his personality, it makes it hard for him to articulate words some days, he can't text sometimes, he's got no energy... i do my best to keep his spirits up, but it's not always easy, and often one-sided. All the same, I don't want him to give up... we climbed trees together, chased girls together, played every sport together... Thank you for writing this.

I first heard this song in 2014. It brought me to tears then, thinking about my brother. Because these are the words I said to him then. 6 years later he's still fighting demons and I need him to keep fighting. This song pops in my head fairly often and today I decided to play it again and it still brings tears. Thank you Andy and Kyle.
