Rear suspension back in, the new rear brakes appear to work, and this is the first time I had tried the blower fans I rebuilt the control circuit for. They work too, which is a pleasant surprise!

I used to own an ‘87 Series 3 XJ12 TWR Manual; an absolute beast. There are many cars that I’ve come across that were louder. I now own an immaculate ‘81 Series 3 XJ12, totally standard. I’m surprised to find that I very much prefer the standard car. When it was designed originally, the Jaguar designers had ultimate refinement in mind for the car and its V12. They achieved it. The car was never intended to be a thrasher. Nothing else can match the original design as far as in concerned. Tom Walkinshaw couldn’t do it. But you pays your money and takes your choice...

I converted my xjs v12 to manual which I sold🙁 I Also fitted large throttle bodies and a TT exhaust. It made the car a different car. Louder, a bit quicker and loads of fun to drive with a great induction noise and a very sporty exhaust sound.
