Seb and the rest of the team. It seems you outdo yourselves in every video. This is literally content someone would pay for. A big thank you from the weightlifting community and from the Greek community: ΣΕ ΕΥΧΑΡΙΣΤΟΥΜΕ. (se efharistume= we thank you)

Alexiev: "He'll never surpass Sristov, this is a gold medal for Russia"
*Kakhi loads 235 on the C&J*
Alexiev sweating: "He's bluffing"
*Kakhi smashing the lift*
Alexiev: "NANI??!!?"
Kakhi asking for Georgian flag to be waved
Most based chad weighlifter confirmed

The headcoach of the dream team was Christos Iakovou. In almost every C&J attempt by a greek athlete he used to scream "Sit under the bar!!!" or "Κάτσε κάτω από την μπάρα" (meaning that when in the jerk, the lifter should align his body properly under the bar). This expression is still used in the gyms around the country as a joke among amateur lifters!

It is also important to notice that Kakhiashvili has a Black Belt in Judo!

Growing up in the 90's in Greece, these weightlifters were something like superstars! Weightlifting back in the day, was even bigger than football in this country, due to these guys. They achieved a legend status and watching this Supeb video, brings back good memories of hard working athletes and grateful people. Thank you so much for the great video you created once more!

Perhaps it would have been interesting to add that the Dream Team "General", Christos Iakovou, was also a Greek born outside Greece, in Constantinoupolis, and who had gone on to compete in three Olympic Games for Greece, in 1968, 1972 and 1976, as a weightlifter. All in all, there may have been other videos on this topic, but I don't think you will find a better one. Congratulations to all who took part in making this video.

As a Greek, pyros was the closest to a superhero in real life, I had when I was a child. I got hooked on weightlifting in my adult life, but every time I c&j, I hear pyros shouting 'gia tin ellada' in my head 😂

please do more of these! Im not an oly lifter but am very inspired by them! I love history of different countries, and as a former History major, you are very articulately presenting the political/ethnic issues that plague these athletes as well as showing the beauty and sights of these places. keep going!!

The narration combined with facts and the searching in this video are absolutely fantastic. We Greeks were used to this kind of documentaries about our national team but this?? I enjoyed every second. And considering it's not made by someone Greek, it was even more satisfying. Τέλεια δουλειά αδερφέ

5:31 Correction for you Seb and the viewers. Albania isolated itself from the Warsaw Pact and therefore the USSR because it was incredibly seen as too liberal and not communist enough. Albania was effectively a hermit kingdom from 1961 to 1992. Having said that, amazing documentary from you 👏

Though these videos undoubtedly demand the most time and effort to produce, they do not get the views they deserve. I hope that is not a deterrent to you, Seb. You're work is appreciated!

These are without doubt my favorite videos on Weightlifting House!
I love the current competitions, but these documentary style videos are truly unique to this channel. I hope to see many more in the future!
