The Capitals' worst move in the off-season was shutting down CapFriendly 👎

Stephenson's agent is the MVP of the off-season. Seattle got worked.

Matt Roy signing in WSH may be the best signing of free agency he's elite defensively is the most underrated player in the game and is the smartest player on the ice whenever he's on the ice no matter who's on the ice and as a reminder he played Anze Kopitar a massive loss for LA's blueline and a massive win for WSH that signing alone made them winners

As a caps fan I’m honestly excited about the PLD acquisition. We’re in a position where we can take a gamble. I obviously know the massive potential for him to flop but if it all works out then we traded an overpaid backup goalie for a top 6 forward with term and I like the sounds of that.

If you think the Caps lost free agency/the offseason, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Yeah, Dubois is a huge risk at the figure hes making, but they got: Mangiapanie for cheap, Logan Thompson to shore up their goaltending for cheap, signed Matt Roy to help their D core, had a pretty underrated 2024 draft, and a few of their prospects are looking ready to compete for full time NHL roster spots after a 2nd consecutive AHL championship win in Hershey. Meanwhile the Lightning did more to stay in limbo than they did and you gave them a thumbs up?? 👎👎👎

Good catch on the Caps// DuBois trade ! Caps were 17 th last year; i xpect they will plummet to... oh 20/ 22 nd or worse! Am SO! relieved Habs didn t fall for him! They learned something after that Drouin disaster !

I needed that for my Leafs, by the way. Tre was definitely focused on Dmen this offseason. Thanks!

Yay!! Thank you for covering the nucks!😁 Id be interested in what you think of the attempt to fill in the size loss of Zadorov? Or just all the defenceman moves in general?

I'm calling the LA Kings a winner for moving that Pierre Luc Dubois contract. Technically not a free agent but its a deal and it dumps that long contract off LA's books. Winner.

Just a heads up to penguins fans, jimmy huntington is really good glad he's getting a shot in nhl. And he's a really good dude in general I know his signing probably didn't make too many headlines but y'all have a good one there we will miss on the bears.

It cracks me up how many "experts" think PLD was a good move for the caps. What a terrible contract for a good player with a bad attitude.

Leafs were mid at best this offseason. No offensive help, and both defence additions they made were pretty risky in my opinion. I hope the best for them but they still need help up front.

Tampa Bay giving up Jeannot feels like a failure of an offseason on its own given all they gave up to get him. Guentzel might be able to make up for the losses from his potential production with Kucherov, but still, it’s pretty brutal to trade like 5 draft picks for a guy who lasted like a season and a half.

Think for the canucks its also important to note that petterson would have easily had another 25-30 points if he wasnt line mates with never finishes anything mikheyev. Replacing him with debrusk who is consistent and always shows up for the playoffs matters WAY more then people give it credit for.

Good Video. I'd say that The Chicago Blackhawks made A Few Huge Moves, to start to get better & put talent around Connor Bedard. Let me know what you think

As a fellow Pens fan, I am feeling conflicted about the moves this year. In terms of competing for a playoff spot it is a thumbs down, however, I feel this is a rebuild without saying the word. If that is the case, this would be a thumbs up to stockpile draft picks and rebuild the prospect pool. We may also have a direction rather than trying to retool and contend at the same time.
