I'm not going to pretend that I had an overage of choice when I was younger, but I was cursed with being asked out by two girls less than a week apart: my childhood friend and another girl in our class that I had gotten close to. My childhood friend had asked me out first and I'd said yes; but if I'm being honest, I didn't think I had a chance for romance with her and was (pleasantly) surprised by her advances.
