I agree Beverley, i'm taking a course on this now--people have NO idea all the extra issues that arise from this disease. It's often not the tremors, fatigue or eye issues that are the problem it is everyday things like this.

Glider pilots have urine tubes, so they can pee anytime, that would save you a lot of trips to the head. Look it up online both for males and females, ask your Occupational Therapist for help.

So skinny. I have MS as well and I'm chair bound. I was way too skinny at one point and my Drs told me to put on some weight to protect my skin from pressure sores. Also, I struggle as well to go to the bathroom. I'm 100% chairbound, as my legs are paralyzed, and I only have use of one arm. I saw you were wearing pants. Best thing to do is to buy some cute nightgowns. Then, all you have to do is lift and pull down the underwear. Anything you can do to simplify your life. Also, forget about tying the pants 😊 I wish you the best. This disease SUCKS!

People have no clue how hard it is to transfer with ms. Imagine your legs are asleep but everywhere and all the time. Then imagine your muscles are told to jump to the moon and barely move at the same time. Don’t get me started with the constant pain. All while people don’t believe your disability because it’s not as simple as missing a limb

In fact, do you mind if I use this footage? I will cut out the beginning part if you wish. The footage will be used for a course called Patient Perspectives at the University of Edinburgh for my degree in Regenerative Neurology. I have a task of creating an online lecture not so much for viewing as much as using various strategies (diagrams, audio, text, and videos) to present the clinical side of the disease--which arguably goes undiscussed. To my knowledge it won't be shown to students (unless you wish to spread the video), i'm sure it will depend on my grade aha. Either way, this is at the graduate level and is a very serious conversation but I figured it was appropriate to ask for your consent. Thank you
