I have an idea.. if Parliament can over ride the supreme court with a majority vote.

Can they mandate 100% of parliament votes?

So to remove politics from legislation?

He did not win “by a landslide.” His party won 32 seats out of 120. And his coalition is just 64 out of 120. In what universe is a 4 seat majority a landslide? And the popular vote was even between people who supported the current government and those who voted for other parties.

I'd like to explain the situation to our friends in the US.
In the US, you have distinct elections for the congress, senate, and presidency. Frequently the congress' majority's party is NOT the president's party. You also have different states, with local rules. You have excellent checks and balances.
In Israel, instead, we have elections only to the parliament (Knesset). The majority of the Knesset makes the government. Hence, the prime minister practically totally rules both the government, and the parliament. If he also rules the court, he has all the power, without any checks and balances. Ridiculously, all of this is done by Nethanyahu, who wants to select his own judges in his trial!

After the overturning of Roe v Wade I see a need to put a check on extremists judges but it needs to require more than a simple majority.
