Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space' Cake | CupcakeGirl

Показать описание
This video shows you how to make the awesome, probably blood filled cake from Taylor Swifts Blank Space video!
---
YOU WILL NEED:
- A heart shaped cake (I used a silicone cake mould from Ikea)
Chocolate cake complements the cream and cherries, however if you use white cake strawberries will work better, but anything combination you like is perfectly fine.
- 300mls whipping cream
- 2-3 tablespoon white sugar (or to taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 100mls white chocolate, melted
- 1 jar of cherries, in syrup (it's important there's a decent amount of syrup because this will be the 'blood') if you don't like cherries you can use anything you like that resembles blood; ice cream topping, milkshake syrup, berry coulis, ect
WHIPPED CREAM:
- Chill the whisks and a large metal bowl (plastic/glass is fine it's all you have) in the fridge or freezer
- Once they are cold, remove and pour the cream into the bowl
- Attach the whisks to your electric beater and begin to beat at a low speed.
- Add the sugar and vanilla and increase to med-high speed.
- Watch carefully and beat until stiff but not grainy
- Follow video directions and decorate accordingly
NOTE: As you see in the video, the the 'blood' did not come out like in the music video, this is because Australia is currently one giant sauna and to keep the cream from melting off this had to be stored in the freezer (not even the fridge!) so it went hard.
If you live in similar climate, keep in the freezer and take out half an hour before serving and it should work fine.
If you live in a normal-cold climate (or have air-con) the cake can be stored on a bench or in the fridge, and as long as the chocolate is thick enough to stop the syrup being absorbed, and there is 1 cm or more of syrup, it will work fine :)
Alternately if you want to save yourself the trouble you can just decorate the cake with only cream, stab it, then add the 'blood' just on top.
