Who needs a "bully"? You've got dance instructors!

Let’s add: “You just don’t have the body type for ballet, maybe you can try modern”…but my ballet teacher was my mom…and I was 11 😢😂

You are Incredible! So happy you didn't let those "hateful" comments dim your bright light. Derogatory words by adults who were supposed to mentor, educate and instruct you, angers me to my core. Keep Shining....you are an inspiration to many❤❤❤.❤❤❤❤❤

Dance teachers can be so mean and I've definitely heard few of those myself. The beautiful thing is that you're still dancing and proving them wrong. Keep being the amazing dancer that you are!

In the 80's my roommate was a professional ballet dancer. She was so tiny, under 5', and about 90 lbs and she was always being told she was too big. It was crazy. There was so much cocaine use in that company in the 80s it was crazy. And sad.

I used to be a ballerina. I was in ballet for 6 years I think? When I quit I was just about to go on point. But this is why I quit. I was being treated differently because I wasn’t thin enough and I had a bigger chest than everyone. And I actually had a Russian teacher. He was married to an American woman and they ran the school. I miss it horribly every day. I wish I’d never quit. But I was a little girl being belittled and shamed and I was already dealing with my dad being deployed in the army and my parents having marital issues. I regret dropping out every day and will for the rest of my life. It hurts so bad to see girls like you who are so gorgeous and loving my dreams. You’re in perfect shape for a ballerina, although I know what you mean they want you to basically be a bendy straw lol. But don’t listen to them. You’re beautiful and I’m happy for you you can live your dream. Love mine for me too will you? :3 ❤

My ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary teacher has always been my great aunt and I’m so greatful because she doesn’t give my cousins, sisters, and me any special treatments but she treats everybody there like they’re worth the time and pain. Like they can succeed

A teacher is suppose to support teach and encourage you to do and be better its so sad that there are such bad teachers out there ... my daughter was taking dance classes (ballet, hip hop, jazz) and her dance teacher told her similar things all the time "I don't know why you're even taking dance lessons youre just wasting your parents money" "you'll never be a dancer you should just quit" she got so upset and discouraged she ended up quitting ... I was so angry with that teacher I wanted to tell her off but my daughter didn't want me to cause she had already quit

The ugly duckling one is a classic 😅 my ballet teacher made a point out of me infront of the entire dance company when I was 12 because I didn’t fit a tutu I wore 3 years previous 😂 told us we shouldn’t be changing size if anything we should be getting smaller and then she pushed me away 😂

These videos always make me feel grateful for my dance teacher that never commented on our bodies, said as long as we were healthy than we were fine, and would throw us a Christmas cookie party every year :))

I completely understand. I was a dancer too! I was born lucky. I was tiny naturally till puberty. In order to maintain my 79 pound weight I developed anorexia which was treated, but turned to bulimia. I was 5'2" and maintained my 97 pounds to well into my 20's. Then I had a child while bulemic. I gained improper weight. Got treated again! Got fat! Bulemic again! Bad marriage ended, got help again. Now in my late 50's weighing a healthy 132 pounds for my age, lol! Happily married, 7 kids, 6 grandkids, lol! ❤❤❤
I think your gorgeous! Eat them up in NYC for me!!! 😂😊😂

Mine once said: "If you don't point those feet I'm gonna cut them off. So point 'em."
Fun fact: I was only 6 years old

My ballet teacher told me my boobs are too big and my calfs are too muscular andI was the reason we were losing competitions. So I quit and started playing soccer with my other big boobed and man calf teammates 😂😂
