Actually maybe the reason why the U.S. has not made a music game that can compete with a Japanese music game is because they all ways go by the book. Most U.S. games I've seen only use the basic system, a straight bar where the notes keep flying straight at you. However in Japan, game developers think out of the box and come up with all kinds of ideas for music games. Like; notes which appear all over the screen "this", an arcade music game where you tap the beats on a screen when it reaches the line on your side and send them flying back at the opponent, an arcade music game where the panel is only 16 squares an you just have to press the squares according to the beat, and music games where have to tap and trace.etc. I am not say that every idea is good (there are some really bad ones), but with so many different ideas there will of course more good music games coming from Japan.

So happy to have this game on Vita! I loved the PS3 version and of what I've played I love the Vita version too. A shame that people just insult it, but I don't care, it's a great game/ game series.
