This is a great list that showcases the quality of games that PHG puts out. It reminded me why I usually look at any release they put out. So many of these games are still in my library after playing multiple times.

My favorite game from Plaid Hat is Familiar Tales!!! My family was immersed in the world and loved the characters!

Summoner wars is my favourite board game, its so fun, easy to understand and play but so much depth and strategy with each faction!

Tail Feathers is a highly underrated miniatures game. It's probably my favourite PlaidHat game.

This might be a common answer, but Dead of Winter is mine. It captures in board game form the exact types of things I love about zombie survival video games, and every single time I've played it, it *always* ends up feeling like it could go either way up til the very end. That, to me, is perfect balance for a semi-cooperative game, and the plentiful flavor of the Crossroads cards adds welcome variety and an opportunity for some friendly role-playing. 10/10 game for me even years later, and I'll always be willing to pull it off the shelf the moment anyone so much as hints that they want to play it with me. :)

A little bit surprised not to see Familiar tales mentioned.

Forgotten waters, summone wars, dead of winter would be my top 3

Missed the opportunity to wear a Plaid Hat, Tom.

I enjoy the Mice and Mystics series but I loved Aftermath. Although recent, Familiar Tales is a very good game, as well.

Playtesting Summoner Wars (1 & 2) has been one of my most enjoyable gaming experiences. Helping the second edition come to life and seeing how much Tom loves it = very satisfying!

Ashes Reborn is a great game.

Surprised it didn't make the list.

I think it's time for a Top Ten "Knife fight in a phonebooth" games. I've heard that one a lot.

Ashes of the phoenixborn should make the list just for the art.

Forgotten Waters as a distant first here. On another note, I wish they restarted their podcast again.

I would love to see a proper second edition for City of Remnants. Streamline it a bit, I think it's a game that has a lot of really cool things going on but it's possibly a little too much. I still like it a lot but it's hard to find a group that fully digs it.

I would say this was more of a “Next 9 Plaid Hat Games” list; Tom is definitely a Summoner Wars champion.

I always feel like Crystal Clans got a bit of a bad break due to it coming out right when PHG was bought. It just felt like the game was quickly dumped out without any hype or fan fair and ultimately very few people bought/supported it. Highly underrated and under appreciated as a result. I’m always surprised though by how people have cooled on Dead of Winter. That is still one of my favourite games of all time but I think people have sort of moved past the “experience” or the game and started to focus more on how to maximize wins and that makes it less fun for them. The game is all about the experience IMHO and if you care more about playing to win than playing to have the best possible experience win or lose, you are going to lose sight of what really made Dead of Winter so incredible at the start. It’s kind of missing the Forrest for the trees so to speak.

Summoner Wars is my favorite but Specter Ops is my favorite catch me if you can and gets played much more because I rarely ever have just one other player.
