Stevenson University Biomedical Engineering students Andrew Davis’25 and Alex Reimert ’26 are engaged in a summer-long research project to develop a model fall simulator. The goal of their project is to use the data from the model to help older adults prevent falls.

This research is part of the Stevenson Summer Scholars Research Program (S3RP). Each summer, S3RP offers science, mathematics, and engineering students in Stevenson’s Beverly K. Fine School of the Sciences the opportunity to participate in paid, one-on-one summer research alongside our dynamic faculty members. In addition to research, students have opportunities to attend professional conferences, travel on scientific field trips, and present their research progress at conferences and to their peers. Other current projects include research into new anti-cancer medications, reducing air pollution, forest habitats, and information theory through games, among other topics.
