If you know about Saturn from Interstellar, you will love this. There may not be a wormhole, Saturn has 82 crazy moons, with one of them hosting a liquid ocean and erupting geysers. And like the best Sci-Fi movies, there’s good women at the helm. Dr Leah – Nani Alconcel is one of the team that has
changed the way we see the solar system today.

I think cassini might be my favourite space mission. It flew through water blasting out of Enceladus, dropped a lander onto the surface of titan and discovered it's methane seas and liquid water deep below the surface, and then it finished off by nose diving into the most beautiful planet in the solar system. Not to mention that it had close flybys of Venus and Jupiter

I followed pretty much everything that Cassini did, since she was launched to all the way to the end.
During those early years of world wide web, in 1997, they collected hand written signatures that were recorded on a disc, and attached to Cassini.
Mine were there as well.

Was kinda heartbreaking to see her dive to outer layers of Saturn.

Of course, there is nothing special about liquid water. Since Europa, everyone knows it is there. We just needed solid proof.

My only regret is that I may not live long enough to see humans set foot on the next frontier.

this video is more focused on the scientists than the actual subject

Imagine there could an entirely new planetary body with a completely new evolutionary timeline and origin just orbiting quietly. We wouldn't even know if these wonderful scientists didn't look where no one has looked before.

They should really indicate whether an image is a real photograph or CGI. Some people might get confused.

Wow, I didn't even know about Cassini until now, but that's... spectacular. It's absolutely mindblowing! Thanks to all the scientists and great minds behind this project. Slightly confused about why we're just hearing about it now though when a quick search says Cassini took its nosedive back in 2017!

I heard Carolyn Porco present on Cassini footage in person in the before times - could listen to her forever and will never forget

Along with Europa, Enceladus is believed to contain water, and it could harbor some sorts of life there. If so, life is not unusual, but quite omnipresent in the universe.
