It does not look like a team. It's just a bunch of superstars selling digit insurance and pan masala.

Rohit really made himself look like a sore loser with the excuses. It's a one off test man, this is the ultimate test

Australia was definitely the better team no doubt. We need to really come back to basics and need to focous that IPL is not helping in winning trophies.

Yess... It's not only about losing... I don't mind a lose as long as my team fights till the very end... Shows discipline and plans.
I understand that Smith and head played wonderfully on day 1 but there was a time when India looked just completed dejected... No matter what the scorecard says you cannot be feeling dejected on day 1.. champions rise and roar... That's the difference.
There's a great piece by Jarrod Kimber on India's performances in ICC tournament and he suggests that players are perhaps scared of taking risk as our fans our loud and we are also the biggest country.. add to it the star culture of batsmen. They have a fear of losing and such clutch situations you need fearless characters.

Well, it has become sort of a norm now Isn't it..
I don't see any rational behind paying IPL for 2 months and then playing the WTC.. No one team can transition and apdapt from playing t20 for so long and suddenly play test match at such a high level.. It's not a surprise.. We should have learned our lessons from the 1st WTC. My hopes fom ODI world cup is already quite low..

You captured the gist of it. Well said.

You are right! It burns but deep down we also know that the boys worked extremely hard to get to this position in world cricket. Pujara for eg worked hard entire summer in England but has poor returns to show. There’s something that’s not clicking for Indian cricket in the knockout stages. It’s sad for the current era but the resurgence will start as the transition happens over next 4-5 years.

Money is not wasted anywhere. Someone has earned a lot and a lot of us has lost heart. Business had been done in a pitch perfect for cricket. It will continue until a moment, which is far far far away..

Rohit's remarks after the loss are embarrassing. I can't believe he said all that nonsense

ya mate, burns for sure. Carelessness on display by our batsmen in the 2nd inning is simply stunning

they needed to be one month prior in England preparing for final but instead they were busy playing league cricket.. bcci itself don't take seriously international cricket their priority is IPL over international cricket

Spot on. It pains me to see the Men in Blue lose. ICT should start taking ICC tournaments seriously. There was no hunger in the team to win the match.

I've been in support of the Indian cricket team through thick and thin. We've played bizarre cricket when it's mattered the most but when they played the way they did in the finals(WTC23), and then the shitty attitude from the captain & the coach, I gave up on them.
They clearly don't have the will to be the best everyday. I can pretty much bet that they won't win the 50over WC this year.

I think I've told this many times and during many occasion. India is not going to win any world titles under the belt of One man show player who's first priority is only to play for themselves rather behalf of everyone as a team! Hence they take all the bad decisions, instead stacking with world class players like spinners is the key trick even during the time of Ganguly and Dhoni played with to take the key wickets. Dropping a all rounder for pace, was the biggest and stupid thing that a skipper can do. Also stacking a deck of talents for some apparent reason who plays seasonal is also the worst call.
