Moments and Center of Mass 5 - Rod of Nonuniform Density

preview_player
Показать описание
Calculus: We derive the formula for the mass, moment about zero, and center of mass for a rod of nonuniform density rho(x). Examples are the rod from x=0 to x=L when rho(x) is constant and when rho(x) = x.

You're welcome, and thanks for the kind words! Aside from the ego thing, positive feedback is key to convincing the powers that be that projects like these are effective and worth investing in.

Ahh damn I had a complete brainfart and forgot how to find CoM of non-uniform rods. Thanks for this you beautiful man, saved me a lot of unnecessary head-scratching.

wait the moment of inertia is supposed to be in Mass*distance^2. L^3 is not a valid moment of inertia...
