So many of us are not getting pay raises, and don’t have all that time off - no across the board pay raise for teachers. We need more targeted raises for great teachers.

You fail to recognize that we got our first COLA ever, and I retired 25yrs. ago. My monthly salary increase was about $150mth. Now the % varied from 2 - 6% depending upon when you retired, so for me I received the biggest percentage.

Current active teachers will benefit from their hard work when they retire. They are making somewhere around the salary I made at the end of my career after 28yrs., ncluding career ladder and an MA degree, at the present time. I wouldn't be complaining.
