The Fairfield County Sports Commission announced its 2013 Hall of Fame class. Six prominent sports figures from the area will be added to hall at UConn Stamford. Among them is Don Cook. Cook dedicated 50 years to college athletics, and 20 of them as athletic director at Sacred Heart University.Mark Hirschbeck - a Major League Baseball umpire for 16 years. He and his brother were the first siblings to umpire together in baseball history. James Blake, Allyson Rioux, Dennis Paglialunga and Earl Lavery will also be inducted. The Hall of Famers will be inducted at a ceremony October 21.
