Today we tour Haugesund Norway. While touring Haugesund Norway we took a rib boat safari out into the North Sea. It was a great adventure and a wild ride out of this beautiful peaceful Norwegian town.

We were in haugesand at the end of June and had similar weather. Enjoyed it despite that. Thanks for bringing back some lovely memories. I hope your knees are, feeling better Nancy.

Wonder if any of those tiny fishing villages are one in the Folgers commercials 😅

Nancy, thank you for talking about how the boat effected your knees. I have issues with my knees as well and will keep this in mind.

Nancy, I feel for you on that boat experience. I think I would have cried! I’m glad you weren’t hurt. You are a trooper!

Nancy you were very brave to do the boat ride. I don't think I would have done it. Once again thanks for taking us on this adventure.

I did the walk to the light house tour and found it very enjoyable. It was a half hour drive each way and a 2 km walk each way to and from the light house. The scenery along the trail was very nice with boulders, wild flowers and sheep as well as coastal views. We had a waffle snack at the light house keeper house which is now a museum before our walk back to our bus. The walk back was a bit rainy. Our ship sponsored excursion was $120 US. When I see an excursion with a light house I tend to want to do it.

Love Mike's goggles on the rib boat. I actually broke a vertebrae T12, on a boat ride like that. Hugs

My husbands brother and family live in Norway near Drammen and others live up north near Bodo. It’s beautiful

Well that is something I will skip. Bless you for warning us.

Tip: If you have back problems, don’t sit in the front of the boat. Sit just in front of the driver close to the centre of gravity - slightly gentler ride. I took rib boat rides in both Norway and Nova Scotia and had the same issue. All the best for your future travels and thank you for sharing your adventures with us.

I bet you went to Frankenmuth during the holidays! ( by looking at your shirt lol ). I live about a half hour drive south of there. Love it.

I feel for you Nancy. We went on a rib boat off the coast of Greenland to see icebergs. The gentlemen driving our boat did the same thing with us. All I could think of was how cold the water would be if I fell in and I wonder how quickly I would die. I wondered if we could even stay a float with all the gear we had on.

Are taxis available in the port as an option instead of walking 30 minutes into the city center?

For a hundred bucks per person I'd expect lunch to be included with that boat ride. Granted I would probably end up losing said lunch on the boat.
Cute town though.
