Once the appropriate native plant palette was developed, GJLD deployed erosion control techniques during the installation. For example, erosion socks and tree branches were staked into the hillside to create barriers and interrupt stormwater flow. Jute netting was pinned across the slope to hold plants in place while their root systems established. Overtime the jute and erosion socks will biodegrade, and the deeply rooted native plants will secure the slope long-term.
