Rainy days are the best, also try doing only prepaid orders will save you more time.

On the money it takes to get back home. You have to learn how to read the map on the accept delivery screen that pops for 10 seconds to accept. It won’t tell you the exact location or miles but I have memorized the map and where the arrows it’s pointing out. Then if I am far away from I can accept an order that takes me closer to where I live and not just driving home wasting gas for nothing.

Its good to use if you're retired such as myself and need to cover the monthly rent. For example if your rent is $1300 a month you would need to make about $43 dollars per day 1300/30=$43 dollars a day.

I’m pretty lucky that I live right in the hot spots for orders in Seattle

This is considered a side hustle if your area doesn't tip well.

If your area tips very well then this gig will out perform your normal 9-5.

I do got a full time job but been thinking about doing something on the side like maybe on the weekend. Trying to save money for a down payment for a home.Currently living in an apartment and sick of them increasing my rent. Also could be good YouTube content for me. Is there an age limit to how old your car can be. My car is 17 years old so it's not new.

1. You got good tips. This is Highly dependent on the area you are serving. You pointed this out, I just wanted to reiterate it for people considering this type of gig. I once did an hour and a half in a wealthier part of town and then an hour and a half in the part of town where a lot of college students live. Naturally I had less downtime in the college area. I did almost exactly twice as many orders (almost no downtime and less driving distance from the fast food places close to the college to the housing also close to the college) and after tips and earnings from both, I made almost Exactly the same amount of money. I was bouncing from place to place doing more deliveries per hour than I ever had before, and I made literally the same as when I was just chill driving around listening to music delivering to the rich folks who tipped me as much as the order earnings sometimes instead of $1 or $2 like most of the college students did. As I mentioned, the base pay was higher on the weather parts of town as well because they don’t have fast food at the end of their street when they live in a sub-division, like the university housing has. If you don’t live somewhere that has a ‘rich side’ this is a Major consideration. I think that was the most stressed hour I’ve worked, and I think I would rather work a minimum wage job or like you said, buy stuff at garage sales and sell it on marketplace or really do anything else if the only option was working in that kind of area for 8 hours straight trying to make a living doing gig work like this. I would argue tips is really the #1 consideration for if this type of work is good in your area. If you have to drive longer for each delivery, that isn’t a problem, because they pay you for that, having to pay for gas / drive home after your shift isn’t really a big deal if you know how to accept jobs that work you back towards your home. Only once have I gotten stuck out somewhere and not gotten paid to drive back and have my last delivery be within 10 minutes of my house. Reading the map in that 10 seconds you have to accept a job and deciding not just if the job is worth it for its own sake ($/mile, being at a fast or slow location where you have to order or wait for food etc.), but if it’s worth taking this job based on where it’s going to leave you when it’s over, and if that place is positioning you for a next quick order or a long drive back to town.

2. You 100% have to factor in your gas and car Maintainance, which you can just average out to $.50/mi I believe is the current IRS’ ‘value’ for a mile of travel for deduction purposes. You also definitely have to factor in the time you are: waiting for an order, driving back home after you are done, and any other down time involved in ‘the job’

It just doesn’t work if you don’t. You can say you make ~$20/ hour so it’s ‘more than minimum wage’ but do you end up at the end of the day being able to, for instance, buy more groceries or have more money to put towards rent. If you pan handle, and someone gives you a dollar, that only takes ~30 seconds, but you are Not making $120/hour. You Always have to doctor in downtime when you are going gig type side hustles or your calculations are erroneous.

For better comparison, say you started working a minimum wage job at 9am and worked until 5pm, how much would you make? Similarly, if you worked from 9-5 doing DoorDash, post mates or similar, how much would you have made at the end of the day. I can tell you right now it’s not $160. It might be higher than the minimum wage job, but it’s not a consistent $20 per hour all day, especially including the tank of gas and estimated car expense based on the miles - although you do get to write that stuff off, so that’s something to consider as well. All in all, it’s more complicated than you presented it to be — although you did do a good job of explaining that you were only talking about the time you spent on a job.

What’s the driver app called? I can’t find it, I used to drive for them and want to get started again

I signed up and I got an email and text saying I'm ready to go.
They asked me to put my bank account information.
Problem is I couldn't sign in on app so I did " don't remember password"
Then next screen says they'd send 6 digit code to my email but that email never popped up!
I even checked spam folder, I've been tried at least 5 times, but never did work!
Is there phone number I can reach?

PM no longer shows the pay of the delivery anymore? What'the point of doing this for surprise pay?
