Wonderful charity! I have how to crochet videos and one is a 7 hats crochet along. There is a baby hat pattern to make. Viewers can make some and send them to Save The Children!

Sometimes when I find YouTubers I really like, I decide to watch all their videos from the very beginning and leave comments on each one...wow, typing that makes me feel like I have no life.

If you haven't gotten there yet, watch out for her Halloween video where she has purple hair. I still have nightmares from that video..

i really like this charity. I wish I could travel more to serve those in need. I went to Japan a few years ago - it was lifechanging.
It don't know what it is about kids in other countries, but they're different than kids in america. More content...more joyful.

@Zofnok There are charities for everyone in need, and charities for specific things. Cancer research, for example, obviously just tackles cancer but it doesn't mean that there isn't help for people suffering from other serious illnesses. This charity just so happens to be specifically for children, but there are charities for adults too. Don't have to complain about a charities just because they don't help every single type of issue in the world.

good ideas comes from the need to survive, and we can't survive on our own so ideas that promote helping others should be supported if we are to survive. a simple idea like the one on the link below will help a lot of people and maybe you one day, but i'm giving up on my ability to persuade people so your help is needed . oh, i can't post links, so please search youtube for keywords the magical donate button

@TeaCakesandMappingQs It's not about guilt. These people don't need pity, but your help... something as small as a homemade hat. These kids don't spend their life in saddness nor do they feel sorry for themselves. They laugh and cry like the rest of us... they are us "In our minds it becomes (...) 'we' should help 'them'. But it's not a them problem its an us problem. We need to help us. (...) There is no 'them', only facets of 'us'." - John Green

Christina is right, unfortunately the vast majority of charities pocket most of the money and it doesn't get where it belongs. This charity is indeed a good one though. It received an "A" rating from "charitywatch(dot)org", a very reliable source. Anything with a B+ or better rating means at least 75% of the money gets there. A & A+ means virtually every dollar after overhead gets to the source.

YOUR INTENT IS GOOD..
The original Save the Children organisation, which was founded in 1919 in London and became part of the International Save the Children Union founded in Geneva in 1920.
In 1986, the General Council of the International Union for Child Welfare voted to disband the organisation, allegedly for reasons of financial mismanagement.
In 1997 the organisation was renamed the International Save the Children Alliance.
90yrs, BILLIONS of dollars. We still have children in need.
SHAME!!

Thank You.
Thank You for showing the world that there is good still.
Thank You for showing that we as humans still and will continue to care and feel for others.
Thank You for showing that there are still people in need, everywhere, and despite their race, religion, place or origin, or past circumstance, they still deserve to be helped.
But most of all, Thank You for being a voice that speaks out to the world and demands that something be done for the better of us all.

@tnsoldier18 mate the reason project for awesome exists is to raise awareness of ALL people and charities that need help! it doesn't mean that you have to give to them, but in America and the UK it's a heel of a lot better conditions than these kids have access too. It's about making the WHOLE world better, not just the place you live in.

Cute Guatemalan babies are cute! That kid who is wearing the Santa hat is amazing. I don't know how you did that without bursting into tears at the sight of those cute wonderful sweet children. Just watching this video makes me weep with cute. Thanks for being awesome. This is an amazing charity to support.
DFTBA.

It's so great that you were able to actually go to Guatemala with Save the Children this year. It's really easy not to donate or get involved with charities because there's no personal connection, but you really have a heart for those kids. Thanks for sharing it with us. DFTBA, Kristina.
