Now that people have started to receive these fans, some P12 Max's seem to have a distinctive "rasp" within certain RPM ranges. At this point we have 3x P12 Max samples, 2x from Arctic directly and 1x retail all of which have been running non-stop for the last two weeks. While NONE thus far have the irregular acoustic output some people posted about, I've ordered another 6 (sadly on backorder) to see if we can recreate the issue. This might come down to a bad batch or something else entirely. Arctic is also investigating on their end. But if you DO have a P12 Max with this problem, please reply to this post since I'd love to get my hands on a few problem fans. - Mike

9:57 normally I just overlook the data and get into the conclusion, but this is one of the most useful and easy to understand graphs I've seen. Great video.

I've been a happy Arctic customer ever since they came onto my radar back in 2017. I must own something like a dozen of their fans at this point.

This is a very good review, that breaks down technical aspects of fan technology into layperson's terms. The better seal between blade and housing is the big winner here IMO.

That price point is a huge win and hopefully they can be profitable enough to put funds into further development. That is ridiculously good performance for a five-blade fan. If their next iteration is seven blades while keeping their prices low, they'll put a real stranglehold on the market.

Got to love Arctic. Amazing AIOs and fans! Hoping for a 140mm version of this too.

wow, i'm impressed. after seeing all the fans being priced around $30, it's refreshing to see these fans giving us actually good performance for such a low price.

At 11:10, you show the Deepcool LS320 AIO, which comes with an FC120 fan. The FC120 is another underrated fan that I hope you could show in a benchmark to compare with the others!

Love this series, I build SFFs and this 120mm fan series has been super helpful for squeezing out that extra bit of cooling!

I was always impressed by Arctic P12's (non-MAX) price/performance/noise. Many raved about Noctua's NF-A12x25. And while it is a good case fan, it has a humming noise that the A12 does not have at RPMs above 1000. I often read of people complaining about the P12's noise being too loud and louder than the A12, which is untrue from my experience. I have sensitive hearing and high sensory. I can hear high pitch, whiny noises that some people cannot. Thanks to your review, I purchased the P12 Max just now.

I'd love to see these with PST and in a five-pack. One of the things I really like about Arctic is any time I need a couple fans I can just buy a five-pack and not worry about needing fans for quite a while. Been buying their fans for years, always great performers.

One deciding factor for my purchase of P12 fan was price and 6 year warranty for 10 bucks - cant beat that. My entire cooling system in the pc is by Arctic. Their tower cooler aswell as all case fans. I removed zalman fans from the case the second i opened it and replaced them with arctic's - no regrets.
And since I am in Europe, they are readily available.

Great review, and great fans indeed!
P12 was already my favourite as being a budget fan that performs extremely good and comes in different variety to suit anyone needs (nonRGB, RGB, transparent, black/white). P12 Max looks like a no brainer. I would order right away, but I dont even have a room for extra fan right now :D

the best thing about that P12 Max after i checked its specs is probably the fact that it still has standard 25mm thickness, no thicker 28 or 30mm frames. Hope they make P14 Max soon.

This channel suddenly became my favourite PC fan benchmark and review channel!! Super useful information about major competitors. Valid testing method and metrics. It's just amazing XD

Artic are one of the few remaining companies in the pc space that I can say nothing but good things about. They offer great products/prices and support. If the other companies in this space were the same.. I know i'd be a lot happier spending my money with them.

I've started replacing my Corsair AF120's with the regular P12's, so far I love them. Simple, performant, cheap. I still need a few more and want to swap out fans on my air cooler, will def give these a try.

Arctic fans are awesome in general. I have a Freezer Duo and while it's not the quietest it isn't obnoxious and punches above its price, and recently bought a couple of P8 for a build on a 20yo case and it's amazing how quiet they are, sometimes I doubt they're even running until I put my hand in front of the intake.

Just upgraded from EK Vardar 140mm too p14 max on all 12 of my case fans. Im extremely happy thus far. Noise is about the same even with 30% more fan speed. And its lowered my water temp by 6-7 degrees. Gaming with an overclocked 7900xtx with 28* water. Yes please.

Word of warning; if you link 2 of these to one header on a Corsair Commander Pro, the spike in amps pulled to start them gradually kills the fan header. Wasn't 100% sure at first, but after they killed a second header, I'd say its pretty much confirmed.
