Coronavirus outbreak: World Health Organization says death toll has risen to 724 globally

The World Health Organization gave an update on the novel coronaviru on Saturday confirming the death toll had risen to 724, with 723 cases in China alone.

Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove also discussed the mortality rate of the virus, stressing that mortality rate increases as age increases but that the number of deaths overall versus those that are reported are between one and two per cent.
