Today I put the cheap Yum Dinger against it’s mainstream counterpart the Yamamoto Senko. Which will come out on top?

That was awesome. Was hoping someone would do a head to head between those two. You sold me on the Yum Dinger.

I have caught lots of fish on both …. But when things are slow and subtle I tend to lean toward the Senko, when they are less picky the Yum dinger gets it done .

You actually want a slower fall because that’s when 90% of bites occur, on the fall. If you’re fishing deeper you can use a Senko or finish nails.

I like Big Bite Baits trick worms for the same reason, less than half the price of a Senko. Worms catch big fish too.

Great channel, a love the name. New subb from NJ.

Looks like a great spot for a top water frog, also is this a stocked pond?

If you stretch the dinger out a little in your hands the color will be a bit brighter and the action will be less stiff.

They both always work well for me, I would just use them based on how the fish are actin. If there are more bites and fish, I'll go with a senko cuz they look better in water. But if less, I'll go with a finger, cuz u can cast a finger over and over and it won't wear out and fly off the hook like a senko would. Just a general rule that I go with, dingers are durable, stiffer by a little, and heavier. Senkos are more flimsy and more likely to fly off the hook after a couple casts, but are more realistic. But if on a budget, u can get 100 yum dingers for only 30 bucks, while 100 Yamamoto senkos would cost 90.

Using the stock gx2 reel? The whole saving grace of that combo is the rod, that reel is only a 10$ reel, it will fall apart soon, you can get a
shimano sienna reel 30$
At Wal-Mart good quality,
