How to Crochet Basic Socks Pattern

This is a full video tutorial for how to crochet the Basic Socks Crochet Pattern! This is a beginner level sock pattern that uses all single crochet.

Knowledge of basic crochet stitches is recommended. This is not a "how to crochet" tutorial.

Linked below is the written pattern with information on sizing. Row counts can only be found in the written pattern.

MATERIALS--
100g worsted weight yarn
G/4.0 mm hook (or larger hook for a wider sock)
yarn needle
scissors
stitch marker

LEVEL--
easy

APPROX FINISHED SIZE--
Width at foot: 4”
Width at ankle: 3.5”
Cuff length: 3.25”
Heel to toe length: S (8.5”) M (9.5”) L (10.5”)
Small pictured on women’s US shoe size 5.5

Gauge: 8 sc x 10 rows = 2” x 2”

I've really wanted to crochet socks for my mums birthday present. I've looked at a few different online written patterns and I was completely lost. I've read the instructions for your socks and it was also a bit confused. I don't do well with written instructions, but if I can see what I'm meant to do, I then fully understand.

This is why I really wanted to comment and say thank you so much for making this video. Just being able to see it being done, and I can 'see' what you describe in the written instructions and it helps me understand it so much better.
