The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Video Walkthrough

This is a walkthrough / playthrough I did of the Super Nintendo game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past. I go through this in one sitting, and get all the heart containers and items. I do miss some events I suppose since I don't talk to everyone, but I do get all obtainable items.

Thinking on it....I suppose I really didn't need to collect the map or compass in each dungeon....

Hey Jeremy's Dad, 2021 here. Just confirming - this is still the best walkthrough video on Youtube for LttP. Jeremy had mad skills and it was super cool of him to do this for the community and it's still amazing and helpful, these years later. Appreciate Jeremy's work and still thankful for him, and to Dad for leaving this stuff up so we can still be using it.

A masterpiece of game design. The same magic awakes in my eyes from this pixels even 20 years after. It didn't get a wrinkle.

To Jeremy's Dad (SaikyoMog): I thoroughly enjoyed his video. It is 2023 and I saw it now for the first time. I loved playing this game growing up in my early teens, and this video walkthrough brought back some amazing memories. Please know your son's legacy lives on and he continues to bring joy to many to this day. Thank you.

Of course it's risky, and I've had to restart many, many times in some games. Obviously what you don't see in my videos are all my failed attempts. That's why I practice the game I'm going to do before attempting it. Thankfully I spent my life playing most of the games you see me do anyways, so it's not like I'm going in blind.

If I ever did commentary, it would be just the information needed. First I'd talk about controls, and then basic information on how to handle enemies, etc. If there would be a hidden path / secret item / whatever nearby, I would chime in. I'd also do boss strategies, etc.

It would most likely be less talking than most videos. But as I keep telling people, I don't have a voice for radio... :P

I got the SNES classic for Christmas. I followed this walkthrough as I played the game and I calculate it saved me 100 hours of my life.

I had never heard of SaikyoMog before until today, but I can certainly relate to, from what I've read, his cause of death.  My father passed away from a very nasty case of MSRA he got after a second surgery on his back for his Hodgkins Lymphoma, a cancer he had been battling since I was 8 months old to the time he passed away in 2012 at the age of 39 (I was 13).  If what I've read is true, you're in a better place now man.  You fought the good fight.  Although very sad, your death brings a good message to everyone on how important it is to catch cancer early.  Colon cancer (which I've read was the cancer he had) has a 90% cure rate if caught early.  Once again, if what I've read is true, we've truly lost a talented gamer in the gaming community.  Rest easy, SaikyoMog.

I'll be 62 this year. A girl I dated had a son with this and it's only one of two Zelda games I've played and the only one I finished. I was feeling nostalgic and chose this play through to watch. Reading the comments now has me a bit sad - although I'm glad I stumbled upon this legacy. Thank you for keeping it up as I've seen things here I never imagined.
