I love how this track works, it is the best way to musically demonstrate our encounter with Sebastian.
The hum of the blacksite you are both trapped in and the repetitive low notes that reminds you there are still threats looming and they will still keep coming, but the bells are something comforting. You hear them whenever you can’t find a keycard so these chimes make you feel safe.
The piano is different, despite it carrying the main melody its rather reserved and doesn’t pronounce itself, the bells take your attention first, almost as if a distraction. Using what you know as a comforting sound to hide a deeper meaning.
It sums up our whole interaction with him, the goods he sells us for UrbanShade’s secrets just for him to hide his own: “If you don’t ask questions, I won’t either.” He hide what we get to know about him behind these transactions and even then its just two pages of a file.
An uneasy alliance, mutual secrecy.

Honestly really appreciate how calming this track is because it basically ends up being a way to signify to the player that, out of all of the places within the blacksite that are filled to the brim with dangers left and right, this small hideout where Sebastian is situated is the only truly safe space you'll find down there in the abyss.
While Sebastian's intentions aren't really clear and he may not exactly be the trustworthy type, it sure as hell beats being out there along with the rest of the horrors that the blacksite has to offer.

It's interesting how he's selling items to us even though our crystal retrieval mission seems to go against his plans (with him asking p.AI.nter to delay it as much as possible). I really hope that in the future we'll get an option not to bring the crystal to the surface and instead learn more about what's going on and maybe assist in those plans, because the current ending is kind of depressing. I don't care if he caused the breach, I'd rather side with him than an evil organisation wanting their hands on the crystal

I think I and a lot of people consider this Sebastian's theme at this point. It has a feeling of both comfort and solace (heh) while still being uncomfortable and unsettling, because you're still not completely safe with Sebastian. Also, I do find it funny that some people headcanon that Sebastian purrs because of the low drone in the background of this song.
