Talking about trading my Vulcan S in on my new Harley Street Bob. The Vulcan was a great bike! But when the time comes to move on to other things, we do what we will. In this video I tell you the things I didn’t like about the Vulcan S. However, I still think it’s a great bike.

I had my first 2015 Vulcan S for about two and a half years then traded it for an Indian Scout which I kept for again about two and a half years. 2 weeks ago I traded the Scout in for a 2020 Vulcan S :D

Wanting and getting a new bike I think is called ‘target fixation’. You always end up where you focus.

I don't watch your channel for the bike, but for your style and the interesting tips you're putting out there. Restarted riding after a while and I needed those. Enjoy your HO. Cheers V.

Don't ever feel like you have to justify yourself to us. You stated valid reasons for why you traded your Vulcan S. It was your bike and if you are happy with your choice then ride in peace. That HD is a beautiful ride. Enjoy making it truly your's. Ride safe and ride often!

I have a 2016 Vulcan S and it's my first bike. I love it and don't see myself getting rid of it anytime soon, but I do understand why you would get a different bike and don't resent you for it. As for aftermarket stuff, if you dig a little you can find a decent amount of things to put on it. For example I didn't like the stock exhaust so I looked for a replacement. After a few videos and forums I got a Delkevic DL-10 full exhaust system for around $400 if my memory proves correct. I like the sound and crackle it makes. The R&G tail tidy looks amazing as well. I also added LED Headlights to the front (including the little bulb above the main headlight). All in all, if you dig hard enough you can find thing to make the Vulcan S your own. Just my 2 cents. I'll keep watching your videos no matter what you ride.

I know exactly what you are saying.
I'm enjoying my first Harley after 40 years of Japanese and European bikes . I have a KTM 1090 and a Harley superglide now and the Harley is the one I think of and just stare at when I'm not riding it . They just get to you !

I ride a Vulcan 900 Classic and came across your channel because of the Vulcan connection. The reason I subscribe is because of the high quality of you vlogging!! You made the right decision with the Street Bob. Best of luck with the new bike... she’s a beauty!

you seem like a mechanical guy; I'm sure you'll be happy w/ the Harley. for most ppl though I think the reliability of Harleys can be tough esp. for a new rider.

I found your channel because of you Vulcan S, but it’s you content that keeps me hear. I hope I can keep it when I upgrade to a bagger, but I won’t have it forever.

Guessing you have to re-shoot that into now :) Congrats on the Street Bob, hopefully picking mine up this week. I started watching you because of the Vulcan, so sad to see it go, but glad you are happy with the Harley. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Edited to add: One of the biggest failings of the Vulcan is the (relative) lack of aftermarket support, especially when compared to the Harley--nothing beats them for aftermarket support.

Your videos are great, I highly doubt you will lose subscribers. If you lose a few, let them have their hissy fits. Those aren't the subscribers you want. We all share a passion for riding. Who cares what make, model, etc. It's about the common bond of being on 2 wheels and experiencing the feeling one gets from riding. I am happy for you and now you have sparked my interest. Keep up your great content. Be well, be safe and ATGATT. ☮️

Thanks for this video. Very interesting listening to your story. I've had my new Vulcan s for 6 weeks now. This is my first bike ever and I have nothing to compare it to. I'm a learner and will have this bike for the next two years before I can legally upgrade, and yes, I'm already looking at a HD. Don't know which one just yet and i'm sure their bikes will be very different in 2 years. As a beginner, I've learnt a lot from your videos. Thanks for your invaluable knowledge and wisdom. Look forward to watching future vids.

Agree. I love metrics but they simply do not appreciate in value the way Harleys do. Like you said, you could dump another thousand into the Vulcan to get it set up nice but you'd still only be able to sell it for probably less than what you originally paid for it. This is why I highly recommend buying a used metric that someone has ALREADY done the modifications that you would want to do.
