How much you eat is highly influenced by what you eat. Sugar and some carbs will make you eat more because of the roller coaster of blood sugar. Eat more fat and less carbs/sugar, and you will lose weight. Most people only burn fat while sleeping after their blood sugar drops. Fun exercise can burn fat and lower cortisol if you're not eating sugar and carbs all the time.

For anyone who is debating whether it works or not…it worked for me. I never used to fidget but made it a habit now. In a week I lost 2 kilos with eating all the junk and no other exercise

Was on prednisone and protaphane (insulin for prednisone induced diabetes) which both cause weight gain. Was put on a diet of large portions of green vegies, a little carrot or pumpkin and a portion of protein (meat, dairy, fish...) for lunch and dinner, with only two small portions of fruit per day and sometimes Greek yoghurt, chia seeds and berries for breakfast (otherwise 2 eggs). I have lost 8 kilo's in two months and am now off protaphane. The only exercise I can do is walking, which I do 3 or 4 times a week for an hour or more. Easy, simple.

With all due respect; blah, blah blah - whatever...
My experience: I don't eat _any_ processed foods, sugars, fruits, vegetables or indeed, most any carbs - yes, that's right, a carnivore diet. Inflammation, odd aches and pains, tooth issues, gastric issues, constant grazing and hunger (along with the insulin resistance and my pre-diabetic A1C of 5.7) are a thing of the past. My weight, over the course of six months, went from 220 to 165 pounds, and I eat as much 'beef, butter, bacon and eggs' (and basically any ruminant meat) as I like, _without regard to caloric intake_ numbers. Eat at 1030AM until comfortably stuffed, then not again until about 5PM. Fat is very satiating, and since I've entered the fat-burning realm (i.e., autophagy) rather than carbs for energy, I'm not starving between meals.
My morning meal is typically 4 eggs with butter and 6-8 strips of thick-cut bacon (oven-baked on parchment paper at 350° for 28 minutes). In the evening, 2 eggs with 8-9 ounces of ground chuck (sous vide from frozen and cooked medium rare at 133° for 90 minutes), seared in a cast iron pan 1 minute per side with 4-5 strips of left-over bacon from breakfast. For variety, a few times per month I'll treat myself with either 16-20 ounces of Choice NY Strip steak (again sous vide, this time for 8 hrs at 133°), or a 24-32 ounce rack of baby back ribs (sous vide for 24 hrs., and then under the broiler for 5 minutes). I'll also add various sugar-free G. Hughes barbeque sauces when the mood strikes me.

Guys this is too much. Don't worry about Brazil nuts and cold showers ffs. Eat smarter, move more, that's it. And if you think shivering is gonna get you to lose fat, go to Chicago in winter and look for all the lean people you see

I've started a hip tendonitis, and walking is extremely painful. These are great suggestions, since I can't do my usual exercise.

I thought it depends on what type of calories are lost 5inches from my waist over 7 mths since starting carnivore and haven't counted calories or weighed myself and no longer have arthritis pain

vegan oil is also possible, omega three yellow algae, for instance.

From the standpoint of how fat oxidation occurs the video is good.

Andrew Huberman is an expert in over intellectualizing the simplest concepts…

I am one of those guys, that eat everything and until I am stuffed, and can’t get weight (around 70kg last 15 years). A lot of fatty meat and always something sweet after each meal.
That "subtle movement theory/fact" shocked me, because that’s what I constantly do. Can’t stay still for a second.
On the other hand, that would only explain low fat percentage and not low weight. Organism does not spare calories.

I'm never doing this.
But great info. Thanks!

Sprinters are typically jacked. Marathon runners on the other hand are skinny as a rail.

Just by living in Norway, I should be skinny as fuck. I’m not. I call bullshit.

Thing about shivering is True. I lost all my weight, now I don't exist.

Camped in the cold several times in Oct and lost 7 lbs from sleeping outdoors and barely exercised. It just fell off to my surprise.

It makes sense. Shivering is the body's way of trying to keep us warm. Hence the body needs to use more calories. I'm going to try it.
