He aint lying about the broken family homes. When you feel detached from your environment you're going to start living inside your head. And that's dangerous.

His look, his voice, his demeanor.... you would not think he is who he is.

I never thought I would learn something from a serial killer. What I learned was not to isolate yourself from the world. Basically keep busy get out of your head. I became very depressed over the covid period and Basically stayed in my room and isolated my self from the world. If you out there and felt how I was feeling please don't isolate yourself from the world. Get out there workout volunteer anything just don't stay at home and get in your head. Peace and love from Minneapolis Minnesota

Seems like the last guy who'd ever murder someone. In a way that makes it even more scary.

Berkowitz always seems to be in pain. In every interview I've watched with him, he seems like he's fighting back tears, especially when the topic of deaths comes up.

There is such a difference between David and people like those involved in the Mason murders. David accepts he’s not getting out for what he did.

I actually sincerely believe he means well. However, someone who kills that many people can never be allowed into society or be trusted.

After growing up in a cult like church and losing my faith in God as a result, I look into this mans eyes and see Christs love and forgiveness there and that gives me hope.

I was 10 yrs old and lived in Brooklyn NY when this guy went nuts, people were really paranoid in those times, I remember my mom always telling my dad to be careful going an coming home from work.

Definitely a tormented soul and very insightful as far as his views on the dynamics of parent/child relationships and young people suffering from depression.

I grew up in a household full of drunks. I was forced into my own head from a young age with no one to talk to. It really does things to you

when he speaks about what he expected once he left the army, you can tell he’s being honest, just by the way he’s expressing himself and his tone. He even chokes up a little, something definitely happened once he left the army. bless him

I am not sorry for the Son of Sam, but I am sorry for David who is definitively another person than he was 40 years ago, he is nicer than many people outside prison.

Who is here after watching the sons of Sam on Netflix?

Now that's a man who genuinely feels remorse for his actions, and his behavior shows it.

Having just watched a later (2015) interview where he proclaims his Christian faith more forcefully than here, I feel he is genuine. As for being released, it's out of the question, since, although eligible to apply for parole every two years, out of respect for his victims' families, he pledges never to do so, but instead to accept his role as a "missionary in a foreign country" (ie prison) for God's sake. What more proof could any doubter require?

he truly seems like he's telling the truth, he doesn't seem insane or manipulative. I truly think he's found JESUS, very well spoken .
