What I learnt from this video is there are 4 types of assessments. No 1 js placement assessment which is taken before starting a subject, topic or program to check prior knowledge of students that how much students are capable in a topic. It is used to check their capability and knowledge regarding the topic such as their basic knowldge about the topic. I think when child wants to join the school these tests are also taken there to give admission to a child in a school. Readiness tests, aptitude tests are kind of placement tests. The second type of assessment is formative. This type of assesment is used enhance studnents learning and teacher teaching method. It benefits both teacher and the learner. These formative tests are used during the learning process and they are not graded. Asking questions at the end of lecture and giving students non graded tests are formative assesments. 3 type of assessment is diagnostic assessment, it is assesment which is tells teacher about weakness and strengths of students . It clears basic misconceptions of students regarding the subject knowldge. How teacher diagnose his students aptidtude is by seeing previous reprot cards and written tests or he can ask other teachers about child's progress in the classroom. The other method is asking from parents in which that what are weak points of their children are. Or teacher himself can interview the child and know areas of improvements. 4 assessment type is summative. It is graded one. It only taken when the course is completed. All midterms and graded tests comes under this kind of assessment. After this type of assessments students are usually awarded with awards and get their report cards, awards, and 🎓 degrees.

Whatever placement assessment is defined here, we also it an initial assessment that is held prior of teaching, hence some experts do not consider it as a type of assessment. Yet I appreciate your method of explaining things clearly.
