Please make more ink videos, they are a large reason why I am into fountain pens. This was delightful !

I love J. Herbin inks! I would trust them (except maybe not the shimmer inks) in any pen including my expensive or vintage pens. Thanks for sharing your unboxing and writing samples of these lovely inks with us!

It's fascinating how this year has immersed me in French classics, from Hugo to Dumas, and even Mark Twain's Joan of Arc. I'm not entirely sure why I embarked on this literary journey, but here I am, currently finishing Les Misérables. This exploration has also led me to delve into the authors' history.

It's astonishing to think that all 1, 800 pages of Les Misérables were written using quill and ink. After watching your video, I learned that J. Herbin ink was likely used during that time. It adds an extra layer of significance for me to know that I'm using ink from a company that supplied ink for some of the world's greatest literary masterpieces.

Once again, my friend, thank you for sharing such an incredible video.

My roommate saw me with my J. Herbin glass pen yesterday and was shocked! She said she used to have a bunch of them and thought they were just pretty decorative things. That, I think, is one of the great things about them. When the tip eventually breaks, they will still look beautiful and can be placed in a window where they can catch the light and continue to inspire.

I bought my first bottle of fountain pen ink in Paris and it was J. Herbin Lie de Thè. Now, Vert de Gris is my signature ink. Another wonderful video. Thank you!

I love J Herbin inks! 3 in particular: Amethyste de l"oural, Poussiere de Lune, and Rouge Grenat. They just flow so beautifully and are so saturated! In the past I tried samples of several of their inks from Tom's (Ink Journal's) Ink Flight and there were just none I didn't like. This was a great video Hemingway ... I love the history and seeing these new to me inks!!

I just love these short of videos, as is it way more than an unboxing of a review. The mix of history and helpful information along with your personal reflections is exactly why your content is different from most of what is out there. I was mesmerized when you were twirling that glass dip pen, just wow!!

Also, reading the comments is bad for my VISA! All the sudden I am adding "Lie de Thè" into a cart and a few other bottles are following, hahah! Love this community

This was quite fascinating. I was previously unaware of the J. Herbin brand enduring hundreds of years. Based on their quality alone, it is unsurprising that their inks have stood the test of time. I have recently begun my own "Ink Library" due to your influence. I swatch my inks in a very similar manner. Bleu Nuit by J. Herbin opened me up to Blues when I was previously disinterested in the color blue for ink. That Cerulean Blue shirt actually pops wonderfully on-screen and the Blue swirls emblazoned across that dip pen was aesthetically-pleasing in the extreme! Thanks so much for sharing, Hemingway. ✒

A belated Happy Birthday.
I have had my eye on J. Herbin for some time. Somehow, not gotten to it to buy some. Love the blue... My next haul for sure.
And, I do agree with your prevalence for more saturating inks. I love the contrast on paper, especially on lightly colored or ivory paper.

Hi Hemingway! What a great surprise from J. Herbin! I love their inks! I’m so fortunate to have discovered J. Herbin inks very early in my pen journey. Thanks for sharing! As I will be adding these two into my collection in the future! Take care!

How could I have missed this video! J. Herbin is my fave brand, probably because of the nostalgia as they were the first inks I bought when I first started with fountain pens about 12 years ago. I love that they’re safe for vintage inks, sans the shimmer ones, and have a great bottle design. By the way, love that Shogun! More ink videos please 😉

Another masterpiece, just what I needed on a cold, rainy Alaskan summer day. Always feel renewed after watching your videos!

I purchased that gorgeous Syogun ink the moment they released it. I had a glass Herbin dip pen but it rolled off my desk and you know what happened next😢. Will get another soon.

My favorite Herbin blue is Bleu de Minuit, but the two you are using are also stunning.
